19thC Carriage Lantern

With a beautiful worn patina, this late 19thC railway carriage lantern is now wired for the 21st C. Manufactured by J C & W Lord, a long-established firm of Merchants in Birmingham. Originally designed to be lit by a kerosene wick, this lamp has been wired with cloth cord and light switch. A charming 19thC carriage lantern with bevelled glass and wooden handle is a rare find in this condition.  A stunning element, lit or unlit.
