"I must have flowers, always and always".

Claude Monet.

As a collector and sometimes photographer, I love curating.  I'm drawn to the texture of old books, apothecary vessels, and flowers in their natural state.
(plenty of these things can be found in our online shop!)

Over the years I've found joy in still-life photography, I find it a meditative and creative practice.

The beauty of creating still-life images is that you need the barest of materials.
A table top of some sort, a blank wall and the essential ingredient ~ beautiful natural light. Choose your favourite props, be it flowers, fruit, old books, shells, feathers, candles ... then watch the hours disappear as you capture the shifting perspectives of light and space.

But for me, less is more: a little like my life these days - conscious of what really matters.

This is where I'll be on Mother's Day ....
