Elements i love has always been a fan of the antique, vintage and hand-made over the mass produced. Curating spaces with a lived-in feel takes time and patience. We believe antique finds can often be the difference between creating an individual & distinctive interior as opposed to an off-the-shelf one.
That’s why we love old things ... it’s a mood.
Owners Brooke Crowle and Tim McGuigan had a dream to escape the big smoke & live a simpler life in Byron Bay. Finding a run-down but creative space in the Arts & Industrial Estate was the key to moving to their business. Inspired by the surrounding environment and the layered history of the northern rivers the plan is to create a place that has a more community-based approach to the retail/gallery experience.
Before Byron, a crew of creative, open-minded folks worked together in Sydney restoring antiques in the workshop making our small biz feel like family. It was the end of an era when the doors closed to the Leichhardt warehouse and the Surry Hills store. We had ten good years with Sarah, Craig & Jodi; three peeps who will be sorely missed.
In an era of mass production and mass waste, Elements i love believes in investing in ageless and enduring pieces. Consciously consuming, whether buying new or old. The recent renovation of their warehouse in the Arts and Industrial estate of Byron Bay has focused on this design ethos.
We believe that a beautiful space does not have to come at the expense of sustainability.
