We originally found 9 of these rare 19thC lithography stone print blocks ~ now only 2 remain!
A truly one-of-a-kind decorative item from France: lithography stone print blocks with hardware/lock illustrations, once used to create French catalogues, dating from the late 1800's to early 1900s. 
Lithography, or printing from soft stone, largely took the place of engraving after about 1852. A decorative piece of printing history from another time.
